New Releases
Movie new releases can mean two different things these days: New Theatrical Release, and New DVD Release.
Theatrical New Release
The Internet is a great source of information on current movie releases in theaters. There are multiple websites devoted to
movies, such as www.imdb.com, moviefone, as well as
being able to see new releases on all the major services, such as AOL,
MSN, and Yahoo.
To find information about current theatrical releases, just search any of these sites. You can even customize each to
provide you with showtimes at your local theaters.
Here are the top movies being released this week:

DVD New Releases
Here are the top movies released on DVD this week:
|
A Slight Case of Murder

|
The Lake House

|
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

|
Tuesdays are the typical day of DVD Movie release. You can see what is being released on IMDB, and other services. To find more

DVD Rental programs, such as Netflix, will also provide information on New Releases. But this information may not be
as complete as on IMDB. These services don't have access to unlimited copies, and may not want to promote a title
that is anticipated to be out of stock right at the time of release, and therefore disappoint members by showing them something they
can't receive right away.
But as a way to get new releases out to their members, Netflix allows you to add movies to your Queue anytime after it is
released in the theaters by clicking on the 'SAVE' button. This adds that title to your Queue and when it is released and
available it will be shipped to you. This is a great way to not have to ever spend any time tracking down release dates.
HINT: make sure there is space available on your Queue if you want to catch a particular title coming out. If there are no
open slots, members who do not have all of their titles taken may receive it before you. Check out other tips by going to the
Insider Tips page.
