How does Netflix make money on letting members keep the DVD movies as long as they want?
A lot of people think that they are Netflix's worst customers because they don't return DVD movies very quickly. Actually, they are the best customers.
If you keep a movie out for a few weeks, in reality it is costing you more because you can't see as many DVDs in the month - but you are still being charged the same subscription rate. So you should never feel bad about keeping a DVD movie for as long as you want if you are a Netflix subscriber - you are paying for it!
