How is an online DVD rental program different from the local video store?
The selection from an online DVD rental service is huge - up to 25,000 titles now available at Netflix. Your local video store is never going to be able to carry that type of selection. The local store will have the new releases - subject to availability - but they won't have the depth of selection available online. Just think up the most obscure title that piques your interest and go to Netflix and search for it. You will be amazed at what is available.The most obvious difference with the local video store is convenience. Rather than heading down to the local movie rental store, you will have DVD movies on hand at home to watch. You will usually have 2 or 3 around - or more depending on your program - and should have something that sounds interesting to you.
And the other major difference is no late fees! Everyone has stories of racing back to the local video store late at night trying to avoid paying late charges. Sometimes you make it, and sometimes you don't.
